About this product

Long-Throw Flashlights

If the job is to identify something at distance — a fence line, a pole top, a boat, a field boundary — lumens will actively mislead you. Lumens count total light emitted in every direction. What you need is candela: intensity in the direction you are pointing.

Throw comes from geometry. A deep smooth reflector and a physically small, bright emitter collimate the light into a tight column; a wide shallow reflector with a large emitter spreads it. Two torches with identical lumen figures can differ by a factor of five in beam distance because of that, and the lumen number will never tell you which is which.

So these are quoted by candela and by beam distance, and we say plainly what you lose: a thrower has poor peripheral spill, so it is genuinely worse for close work than a cheaper flood. Most people who need distance also need a second light, or a torch with both modes, and we would rather sell you the right pair than the wrong single.

FAQ

Long-Throw Flashlights: quick answers

What is the minimum order for long-throw flashlights?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
Why not just buy more lumens?
Because lumens measure total output in every direction and throw is about intensity in one. Two torches with the same lumens can differ fivefold in beam distance depending on the reflector and emitter. Ask for candela and beam distance.
What is the downside of a thrower?
Poor peripheral spill. A tight column is worse than a cheap flood for anything close up, so people who need distance usually need a dual-mode torch or a second light. We would rather say that than sell you one torch that does half the job.
