Custom flashlights questions, answered.
Everything buyers ask before they order — minimums, timings, artwork and print options.
What is the minimum order?
Our minimum order is just 12 flashlights, with bulk tiers as quantities grow. Engraved and multi-mode builds carry the same minimum.
How fast will my flashlights arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and torches ship in about 2 weeks. Rechargeable builds carry lithium freight restrictions that can affect air shipment, so we confirm a real ship date in writing before you commit.
Are lumens the number that matters?
Rarely. Lumens count total light emitted in every direction and say nothing about where it goes. If you need to see something at distance the number is candela; if you need to work at arm’s length it is beam evenness and colour rendering. We ask what you need to see before recommending anything.
Why does my torch dim after a few minutes?
Because it has a direct-drive circuit rather than a regulated driver, so output falls away as the cell drains and as the head warms. Runtime is a curve, not a number, and the ANSI FL1 convention quotes it until output drops to a tenth of initial — which is how a torch honestly claims twelve hours and is useful for one.
Should I choose throw or flood?
Throw to identify something at distance, flood to work at arm’s length. They are opposite optics and a powerful thrower is genuinely worse than a modest flood for close work. Plenty of people need both, and a dual-mode torch or a pair is usually the honest answer.
Will printed branding last?
No, not on a torch. A print sits on the surface of a barrel that lives in a toolbox with keys and tools, and it is a ghost within a year. We laser engrave through the anodising, which removes material rather than adding a coating, so there is nothing to scratch off.
Which battery should I specify?
One people can actually get. A torch taking a cell nobody stocks is a torch in a drawer, and that decides real-world use more than any performance figure. Where a rechargeable suits better we specify a replaceable cell rather than a sealed one, so the torch outlives its battery.
Are these certified safety lamps?
No. These are work and everyday torches. They are not intrinsically safe, not certified for hazardous atmospheres, not marine or aviation lamps, and the red mode is not a certified warning beacon. Where a certified device is required we will say so and point you to the right supplier.
