Engraved Aluminium Flashlights

A pad print on an anodised barrel sits on the surface. Within a season of that treatment it is scuffed, and within a year the logo is a ghost. A laser engrave burns through the anodised layer and removes material, exposing the bright aluminium underneath, so the mark is part of the barrel rather than a coating on it. It cannot scratch off, because there is nothing on top to scratch.

The anodising itself is worth specifying. Type III hard-anodising is markedly more abrasion resistant than the decorative finish most promotional torches use, and it takes an engrave with a cleaner edge. We quote the anodising type alongside the engrave, because the two together are what decide how the torch looks after a year rather than on the day it arrives.
